WordPress plugin
ProseMap for WordPress
Score a post sentence by sentence without leaving the editor. See which sentences work, which do not, and where the writing stops flowing. You keep your words and your voice.
What you get in the editor
- Four scores for the post: Overall, Sentence, Flow and Arc.
- A short list of the weakest passages, with the reason for each.
- A link to the full map of the post, where you can read an explanation for any sentence and press Improve draft.
- The Overall score as a column in your list of posts.
It works in the block editor and in the classic editor. Nothing is sent to ProseMap until you press the button.
Set it up
- Download the plugin. In WordPress, open Plugins, then Add New, then Upload Plugin, and choose the file. Activate it.
- Create a ProseMap account in the app and add credit.
- In ProseMap, open Account, then Connect an AI assistant, and create a connection. Give it a monthly spending limit. Copy the token.
- In WordPress, open Settings, then ProseMap, and paste the token.
- Open any post. The ProseMap box is in the sidebar. Press Analyze this post.
What it costs
The plugin is free. Each analysis uses credit on your ProseMap account: about $0.59 for a 1,000-word post, or about $0.46 with the Light option. The price is on the button before you press it. A failed analysis costs nothing. See pricing.
Limits and safeguards
- Spending limit. The connection has a monthly limit that you set in ProseMap. The site cannot spend past it or raise it.
- The token stays on your server. It is never sent to the browser. You can also set it in
wp-config.php. - It does not rewrite your post. The plugin reads and scores. Improve draft lives in the ProseMap app, and it changes only the weak spots.
- Who can use it. Anyone who can edit a post can analyse it. Only administrators can change the token.
Tested with WordPress 7.1 and PHP 8.3. The plugin is not in the WordPress.org directory yet, so updates are by downloading the new file from this page.
