# ProseMap > ProseMap is a writing tool that shows how a draft holds together, sentence by sentence, and proposes fixes the writer keeps or drops in their own words. It is for people who write often and revise their own work: essays, articles, newsletters, chapters, posts and reports. It does not write for you, and it is not a grammar checker. Facts: - Website: https://www.prosemap.io/ (the app is at https://www.prosemap.io/app/; the scored example opens free, without an account) - Made by Van at Project Nothing (https://www.projectnothing.ai), a personal AI workshop. Contact support@prosemap.io. - What it does: scores every sentence (0 to 100, with a band) for whether it does its job in context; scores every join between two sentences as a handoff with a relation (advance, deepen, contrast, disrupt, restate, drift, pivot, payoff, sibling); one judgment of the arc; an overall score with a penalty for sustained weak runs; a document map; ranked hotspots; plain-English explanations on request. - The stance: the model proposes, the writer keeps or drops. Suggested wording is previewed beside the original and kept, edited or dropped by the writer. Nothing changes on the page without the writer's tap. It never writes a piece from a prompt. - It is not a grammar checker: one spelling and grammar pass is offered before an analysis, with corrections the writer approves; nothing runs as you type. - Input: paste, or upload .txt, .md or .docx (converted in the browser). Up to 400,000 characters. English. - Also: notes typed or dictated; disagree with any score and re-score under your view; versions compared side by side; export as an editing brief or analysis JSON; an MCP connector for Claude, ChatGPT and Claude Code; a free WordPress plugin. - Pricing: about $0.59 per 1,000 words, shown before anything runs; a failed run is never charged. Pay as you go from $10, $25, $50 (credit never expires) or monthly plans: Writer $10 for $12 of credit, Studio $79 for $100, Business $199 for $275. No free plan. Prices in USD. - Privacy: text is sent to Anthropic for analysis and dictated audio to Deepgram; never sold, never used to train models; deleted on request. - The scores are an AI model's judgment and can be wrong; each carries a confidence and a second model audits a subset. ## Pages - [How it works](https://www.prosemap.io/how-it-works): Paste a draft. ProseMap scores whether each sentence does its job and how sentences hand off to each other. Side by side. - [Pricing](https://www.prosemap.io/pricing): About $0.59 to analyse 1,000 words. Pay as you go from $10, or plans at $10, $79 and $199 a month with more credit than they cost. The price shows first. - [FAQ](https://www.prosemap.io/faq): Does ProseMap write for me?
