You always know the price first

  1. Estimate. Before anything runs you see what it will probably cost and the most it could cost.
  2. Authorise. You confirm the maximum. That amount is set aside so nothing else can spend it.
  3. Settle. You are charged what the work actually used, never more than the maximum, and the rest returns to your balance at once.

If your balance cannot cover the maximum, you are told before any work starts. If the work fails, you are charged nothing.

The details

  • Top-up credit never expires. Monthly plan credit is for the month it is paid for and does not roll over.
  • Monthly credit is always spent before top-up credit, and your account shows the two balances separately.
  • Cancel a monthly plan at any time. It runs to the end of the period you have paid for. A plan change takes effect at your next renewal.
  • Automatic top-ups exist, are off unless you switch them on, and never spend more than the monthly amount you set.
  • Unused top-up credit is refundable in full on request. See refunds.
  • There is no minimum charge. Amounts under a cent are charged as exactly what they are.

Questions

How much does a ProseMap analysis cost?

It depends on length. A 1,000-word draft is about $0.59; a 3,000-word draft is about $1.75. You see an estimate and authorise a maximum before anything runs, and you are charged for what the analysis actually uses, never more than the maximum.

Which option should I pick?

Start with pay as you go: $10 of credit analyses about 16 drafts of 1,000 words and never expires. Choose a monthly plan if you would rather have credit arrive on its own each month than top up by hand.

Can I try it before paying?

Yes. The example analyses open in full without any credit: the map, the scores, the hotspots and the before-and-after comparison. Analysing your own draft, sentence explanations and dictation need credit.

What happens if an analysis fails?

You are not charged. The amount set aside for it is released at once.

Do I pay again to reopen an analysis?

No. A saved analysis, and any explanation you have already asked for, reopens at no charge for as long as you keep it.

Does credit expire?

Credit you buy as a top-up never expires. Monthly plan credit is for the month it is paid for and does not roll over.

Can I cancel?

At any time. A monthly plan then runs to the end of the period you have paid for and is not charged again. Unused top-up credit is refundable in full on request.

Is there a minimum charge?

No. Small things cost small amounts: a few seconds of dictation is a fraction of a cent, and that is exactly what is deducted.
