These are the terms for using ProseMap. In short: your writing stays yours, the analysis is an AI model's opinion and can be wrong, you pay only for what you run, and you can leave with your work and a refund of unused credit at any time.

1. The service

ProseMap analyses prose you submit and shows the result as scores, a document map, explanations and revision aids. You need an account to use it. You are responsible for what is done under your account, including through any assistant connection you create.

2. Your writing

You keep all rights in the text you submit and in the revisions you make. You give ProseMap permission to process and store that text only in order to provide the service to you, as described in the privacy page. You must have the right to submit what you submit.

3. What the results are, and are not

ProseMap's scores and explanations are produced by AI models. They can be wrong, incomplete or misleading, and they are one reader's judgment rather than an objective measure of writing quality. Check anything that matters independently.

ProseMap does not check facts, give legal, medical or professional advice, or guarantee that following its suggestions will improve a piece of writing or achieve any outcome. Revision drafts are generated text and may contain errors; read them before you use them.

4. Credit and payment

Paid operations use credit. Prices, what is free, and how credit expires are set out on the pricing page; refunds are set out in the refund policy. Both are part of these terms. Before a paid operation runs you are shown an estimate and a maximum, and you are never charged more than the maximum you authorised or for an operation that fails. Prices exclude tax. Complimentary credit has no cash value.

Monthly plans renew each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, and the plan then ends at the close of the period already paid for.

5. Fair use

Do not use ProseMap to break the law, to submit material you have no right to submit, to attempt to access another person's account or data, to interfere with the service, or to resell access to it. Accounts have limits on document size and on how many operations can run at once, to keep the service usable for everyone.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep ProseMap available and your saved work intact, but the service is provided as it is, without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability. We may change or withdraw features. If we ever close the service, you will be given notice and time to export your work, and unused topped-up credit will be refunded.

7. Ending

You can stop using ProseMap and delete your account at any time. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms; if we do so without your having misused the service, unused topped-up credit is refunded.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, ProseMap is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and its total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or rights you have as a consumer.

9. Changes to these terms

If these terms change materially we will tell you in the app before the change applies. Continuing to use ProseMap after that means you accept the new terms.
